Legal text is still being written. This page describes what the system actually does today; it does not replace the final policy.

What is collected

GPS and barometer traces from hikes you record, photos you upload, your email address, timezone and language.

Three separate consents

• Visibility — who can see a hike. Off by default.
• Contribution to statistics — your trace feeds the per-segment medians. Off by default.
• Leaderboards — your display name appears publicly. Off by default, and opting out deletes the history too.

Photos

EXIF metadata is stripped from every public image. Originals stay private.

Hosting

Data is hosted in Quebec on self-managed hardware. No third-party cloud storage.
